King's "Boracay" Campus Tour

Hey, I missed lolo na so I went to his last "Boracay" Campus Tour in Val. Dal. HS. (after work) It's been 2-3 mos since I last saw him. This gig has been cancelled 4 times. This time, fifth's the charm.
It turns out that we were not inside the famed Val Astrodome, instead we were all in the open-air quadrangle. It's still full of screaming students. Supastar sya sa Val huh. He really needs to come back here.
When raindrops fell, I felt it was dramatic and kinda cute. Mahina pa yung shower but when it really rained, it became a "Boracay" gig. haha. A really wet concert. We were all drenched in H20, even if we had an umbrella. I was with my 2 friends, new RS. Mira left for work and coudn't come. This is the first time I've attended a rainy gig. I didn't get sick coz it just felt like in a pool or a beach or somethin' like that. hehehe... bora-bora!
Lolo saw me, taking digi pics in the pouring rain. dyahe. I look like I was in an aquarium. He said "Go, tez" daw and we waved at each other. Of course, my digicam got a bit wet. Reminds me of a line in Cueshe's song" Lagi na lang umuulan...."
Yeah, lovebirds Nina and Kuya Nyoy were there too. No Nina-lolo duet though. Nice gig! Really wet! Inulan din naman si lolo ng full support kahit umulan. No one left the venue. We all just climbed near the stage to get dry. Whew, for the love of lolo and RS talaga!!! hahaha.
After show: (weird, the rain stopped na) I was chatting with lolo at the faculty. Nakaupo siya sa trono (green chair) at ini-interview pa and some signing. Then some chika with lolo at the dining table. Si "Sir" lolo talaga, I almost got a failing grade. hehehe. I guess we both missed each other and we both gained a bit of weight. hahaha.
Amer and Chris is both nice as ever.
This is really an unforgettable gig. :) We got soaked but me and my friends were very happy about it. haha. :)

Our crazy Pacquiao day

Last Pacquiao-Morales judgement day, we (my family) had to go to Cav to visit grandmama. I'm sure all Filipinos are thinking of Pacquiao that day. Even our trip is affected by Pacquiao. We wanted to get to Cav in time for the big fight.
Of course, we were all rooting for Manny. We even have to change auto pa to ensure a faster way of travelling. We went by fx, then we jumped to a red van. Our driver sped off, halos liparin na ang Cav (no traffic) until he was stopped by 2 female MMDA's. hahaha.
But when we got to Cav, my uncle sez Cav had bad news that Pacquiao lost in the 3rd round.
our driver: ang sama naman ng balita mo!
me: eee, bakit?! oo nga, kakain pa naman tayo. 'kakawalang-gana.
But we were so hungry, we ate na rin. Anyways, we still watched the fight. Buti a friend texted me in advance that Manny won by TKO in the 10th round. That made us happy na. So in the end, Manny won nga. Great fight! Palpak the Cav news.
Manny really made all the Filipinos proud. My dad really loves to watch boxing events. Oh well, my lolo used to be a boxer. He died of Parkinson's, bless his soul. I'm sure every Fil is overjoyed of Manny's win.
Announcer, Team Pacquiao: Mabuhay!
us: Mabuhay!
me: Mabuhay, let's go!
So we left Cav, parang nakipanood lang kami doon. haha. A bit of traffic went back and people started lining for lotto na.
Turns out, our driver has met one of Pacquiao's closest friend. This friend claims that Manny had an amulet aside from his super punches. I wonder if that is true. Grandmama had an amulet. But not one of us (relatives) would like to take the "bato" or stone when she passes it. Amulets daw makes a person poor. (Grandmama lead a modest life and cures people occasionally with her "magical" hanky) I'm sure she can also pass through a wall ala Platform 9 and 3 quarters. :) Well,Manny is super rich so maybe it ain't true. He's really our fave boxer. :)
