Da Vince Code- Much Ado about something

I watched Da Vinci Code at Waltermart. It was banned in all Sm. It can only be seen at Gateway, Rob or here in Waltermart.
I thought it will be a jampacked venue but it was not. Maybe the deeply religious Bulakenos prefer MI III than this controversial movie. There were just a few of us in the cold yet comfy theatre. I wonder what they were thinking about DVC.
I've read the Dan Brown book, now I've seen the movie. I guess, despite everything, my Catholic faith remains. But one could not just dismiss this as one great fictional body of work. This movie really questions the divinity and exposes the "Sangreal couple" but nothing new I haven't heard prior to the book.
Anyways, after going out of the theatre, I realized that we all live now in the modern times. Who cares about the movie presents or represents. JC is still JC, and will still be JC to most Catholics. And the movie failed to explain Mama Mary's immaculate conception. Therefore, JC is not just a man. Is the book and movie blasphemous? Absolutely. Should it be banned? No. My mom thinks that this is an evil movie. Mary Magdalene is sacred to her. She was her miraculous town patron saint.
I guess one just has to be open-minded and treat this movie as just another controversial albeit fictional yet disturbing art film. It's just a coincidence, I have a white rose with shortened stem inside my bag. :)

Tara Ravena's wedding

Kev used to say that our former sensei Tara was a Ravena, back in those Mulawin fever days. But now it was Tara's wedding to her longtime bf. Joy Mars was the sexy maid of honor. We went to the Holy Family Parish Church with T. Jov and son Jas.
It turns out to be a simple but a happy wedding. Joy and her papa were ever present, for she was Tara's bestfriend.
After the simple reception ( I heard was near songbird Reg V's place), I went to watch an R-18 movie. :)

Starboy JJ

Finally, I had summer work in May with this starkid named JJ. He's smart but he has traces of being a special child with low attention span. I am working on his case and implementing some techniques. Anyways, after assessing him I think a learned something from this kid esp. in the Animal Kingdom, ;) It's still hot in Summer and our Devas new building is almost finished. T. Jov is working on a girl named Crystal. I like it even if it's another hard summer day's work for me. I met new sensei Cor and Pres. I got reunited with Joy Mars. :) We will be missing Ghen and Cecil a lot but we wish them the best wherever they are. They suddenly left Gakko. Friends really come and go. :(

Luyang Dilaw Festival

What a nice festival. But very early, mind you, 5 am. I has a live TV coverage by Unang Hirit (Ch. 7) headed by our Mayor and Madam Adelaide. She's so busy with Eagle, hehehe.
We got there in the plaza by 6 am na. What a sight to see- the Lakan-Lakambini contestants with their unique, almost weird gowns and costumes. Our club members are there in formal yellow dress. Yup, yellow is the color of the day, owing to the yellow ginger theme of the festival. I just wore a yellow shirt and jeans. Our fave llakambini is the pretty "Majika" lady complete with the well of Sabina as her skirt. She looks like a white butterfly fairy trapped in a well. When she got tired, she just sat inside the well, haha. Her escort carries two pails of water, go figure. I bought my mom along to see the event, we were near the police. Eagle hosted it for Unang Hirit up to 8:30 am. We got hungry we went home na rin before it ended. We ate Palabok Special. In the afternoon, there was the SM street dancing festivities but it rained a bit. I didn't join in there but I did enjoy our "yellow" town fiesta. :)

Invincible

It was labor day when Xtian B went to our mall. I'm just amazed how he manaed to squeeze in a sked in our mall in between his Asian and Middle East tour.
Anyways, I just went there for Kevin. It's my 2nd time to see Xtian. He's kev's fave. I was with my friend Cyr who even won a PLDT Budget card. Generally he sang nice songs- old and new. New hairdo for Xtian huh ala Korean 'do. He's nice naman, 'kinda formal. Xtian was asking who Kevin was. I said that he's my nephew in UK and that I'll send him his new songs. He said thanks and vice versa. I'm sure Kev would love our pic together. I can just hear him say "Di ba ayaw mo kay Xtian?" And I would reply on the phone "Yeah..." Well, for the love of my 'lil bro. :)

Let Aprism begin

Gosh, I have a new club and I've been elected as one of the officers. Nice club huh. Free trip to Bora, hmmmm..nice. Unang Hirit coverage, not bad. First meeting: Session Hall of our Town, nice. Our chairwoman: Madam Adelaide, motherly nice.
It's good that our club colors are my faves (green and yellow). Wow, they will issue a local passport for my starkids. It is only now that I can feel or weigh that Dra. Fe has truly passed the 'crown' on me. I am now continuing her duties. Nice. :)
