UN Day ' 06
It's another UN day. Once more I find myself as an emcee, but with a co-emcee Cor. T. Pres is sick with cough and T. Joy is busy maintaining order. I'm glad there are now 3 judges (2 nurses Arnel and Ivy and a lady dentist- Dra. Pineda) to resolve my problem. Come to think of it, as T. Joy was fixing the bouquet for the next Mr and Ms. GSM, I remember a friend. Masakit pala, akala ko hindi. But it's ok, that's life.
We had a nice UN day. We finished quite early. Starkids 1 and 2 did the hip-hop version of "Where is the Love" (Indeed, where is?)Starkids pre-elem danced to "Bawat bata." Julie chunyang sang a nina song. My starkids 4 danced to "Sikat ang Pinoy" (my fave)and I was dancing too, in the background. :) One of the judges sang (Ivy) "Tell me where it hurts" (oh, deep, deep down inside)Then my starkids 4 boys sang "Bitiw"with Edwin as the lead ala Yael. He is like Bamboo huh, rakista ang dating. To think, I discovered his talent. T. Venus would be so surprised he's no longer the shy and withdrawn, uncooperative kid. I bet even his sensei parents are so amazed. My starkids 4 girls sang "Sa Kanya" but the boys did better. Starkids 4 and 5 sang "Heal the World."Jhazel made her farewell walk as last year's queen. In the end for best float, Jean and Bethina's "Egypt palasyo" won. And for Mr and Ms UN, Nicole and Kurt won (Vietnam). My bet didn't won (Chelsea) who looked like Marie Antoinette. :) Then we ate at a buffet and chat and joked with our boss and the judges. What a UN day!
